Hi all:
Other than eloctroplating lead came to give it a nice sheen....what else can be used? The glass stores I have gone to say there is really nothing they know of....help anyone?

What kind of "sheen" do you want?
I would like a silver gloss sheen. The lead came is a bit dull. I am not sure if this can be done. What do you think??
linseed oil as the fluid, then buff with a natural bristle brush, the lead will usually turn a high gloss dark grey. If you then buff with a soft cloth, sweatshirt material soft side out comes to mind, the Dark grey will become lighter and shine like (darkened) chrome.
Try it on a test piece, don't wait after grouting, the metal will gain a darker patina than you want.
