transom window hardware

i'm making some door transom panels. rectangular. anyone have a lead on the hinge and catches that are used for these? i recall they used a catch with a loop, and one used a long pole with a hook on the end to open/close them. it would be nice if the hinge allowed easy window removal.

Elliott's Hardware in Dallas TX carries the catches and pole end, from Ives, in aluminum that is plain or that brass plated and the catch in solid brass. We can ship. The hinges should be just plain butt hinges. The traditional catch was a chain and we also have the brass and nickel finish chains from Ives in 12" and 15". These are medium duty twisted link chains with brackets on each end that each take two screws to mount.
