Almost OFF TOPIC -craft show vent for the grammar police

Thank-you, Brenda. Isn't amazing, though, that some people have jobs that involve gauging the most common usage of a word? Almost like those people who managed to get jobs playing computer games all day long. How did I manage to graduate from college without seeing *that* career opportunity? I need to have words with the guidance counselors..... There you go, there's another one: councilors vs. counselors :-) I can't imagine trying to learn English as a foreign language!

This made me think of a sign I saw recently in our "mighty metropolis" , all of 2000 people! The county put up the following "Road closed due to construction. Residence only" . I had visions of the houses neatly marching through the little barricade!

Thanks a million!! I need that after six hours at the Clinic with DH. Xrays, blood tests and CAT scan later, we have a diagnosis. Pancreatitis!! No more wine or Manhattans and liquid diet until Fri morning's labwork and we see the results! !!! Sigh!!!

My mom had pancreatitis and after she had her gall bladder out, she felt much better, really she did. I hope things work out for you without any surgury at all.

Hey, Elizabeth, my friend!! I am fine; I wa giving you a hard time though. It is Jim who is the sicky. They don't think it is gallbladder, but he is a diabetic, has been put on a very new injectable "mimic" of insulin, and enjoys his evening drink. He has to change, not me!! All I need is sympathy!Probably by the ton!!
