Did you remember to change your clocks?

The time at the tone is ... one hour earlier than you think!

Someone in one of my groups realized that the only clock they need to change by hand is the one they got as a wedding gift eons ago; all the rest now automatically change themselves.

This household is way behind the times. Other than the computer and the newer VCR, I need to do everything manually.

I'm with you, Karen. The only thing around here that resets by themselves are the computers(at least, I hope they both do, haven't checked the other yet, and probably should, since he won't know how to change it.) As for the DVD/VCR, well, I don't think it has ever had it's clock set, but that one's not my problem; if I want to watch a DVD, I sit at my computer. Did have to do the kitchen clock, stove and microwave first thing this morning. Now to go do the one in the bedroom, and dig out the directions for changing my watch...what a pain. TTFN, Carey in MA

I changed everything that needed changing, except my watch, early last night and the computer and cable box dutifully changed themselves. Then of course I got up at 5 and couldn't go back to sleep.

It's going to be interesting to see if I can stay up late enough tonight so I can get back to getting up between 6 and 7, instead of 5 and 6.

As it is I'm not the best sleeper and get up several times during the night so this should be interesting.

I stitched for an extra hour last night! It takes a few days before you get used to it getting dark so early, though, doesn`t it?

You and us both, Karen. DH changed the bedside clock last night, but all the rest are awaiting our kind attention.

It's one of my least favorite things about winter. In December and January I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. I'm thinking of getting another lamp in my stitching area.

Dora Who woke up to a snow drift in front of her door this morning and it's still coming down.

LUCKY you! We haven`t had a decent snowfall for YEARS (apart from the day of my grandson`s passing out parade, when the whole of the South of England was snowed up and we couldn`t get there! It was all gonr by mid afternoon - too late!). I love snow though, and just hope we get a "proper" winter this year!

I love snow, too. Also the sunny, frosty fall mornings; Jim and I are

*very* seriously discussing whether to sell our house here in Florida, and move north. The two states that most tempt us are Montana, and New Hampshire; opposite sides of the country for sure! New Hampshire makes more sense, inasmuch as the kids are all up and down the east coast. However, there *are* airplanes, and great National Parks out west. I wonder how little Max will like dragging his undercarriage in the snow when he has to go out!

Oh what a good idea! We saw some shots of New Hampshire on TV last week and it looks beautiful. An added bonus, of course, is that Cheryl lives there!

and Bobbie. I'm pouting except that NOW I'll have time to properly post to the newsgroups. Oh and I have just kitted Châtelaine's Taj Mahal Mandala.

I don't mind the snow either Gillian - as long as it doesn't land on the roads. :-)) Glad to see you made it safely home - hope you had a wonderful time travelling - I watched you on that *thingie*. Is Max one of the dachsies? When I had my darling Dalton, he didn't mind the snow at all - even tho' his little (well it wasn't really little) belly dragged thru the snow. He loved it in fact - loved eating it too - his little nose was always covered with snow when I had him outside. (how I miss him!)

Oh how true; I love getting together with Cheryl. I thought of adopting her as a daughter, but I would have to get up too early for the kids' hockey games. LOLOL!! Also there are other stitchers, and some great shops! Cost of living is a tad higher than here, but what the heck!! Frankly, I think I wouuld save on power bills, because I LIKE to wear sweaters when it is cold, and open the windows until it gets too hot. Retired folk don't have to drive in bad weather.............and you are right, the scenery is beautiful. More reminiscent of England, although the peaks are highe. However the Rockies are even more awesome, and are like the Alps. The temps there can be upper 80s, low 90s, in the day but the humidity is low, and at night you can open the windows!

The DVR, TV/VCR combo, computer, and phone all changed themselves. The clock radio and watch were changed before bed last night. The wall clock got changed this morning. No clock on the DirecTV box.

Oops--you reminded me that I didn't change the clock in my answering machine or my car. Now if I can only remember to do it in the morning !!!!

'm doing it on Lakeside Linen's Bittersweet linen. The required silks and beads were expensive, but I have everything now. I have done a few more temaris and given a class on a Christmas Rose and ribbons that is my own design. I will post an update on my online album as soon as I add the pictures. I have made good progress on the Celtic Band Sampler. I am to visit Cheryl this morning.

DD's ice was about 5PM on the big ice at the Verizon Center for an intermission game. Margaret and her DH joined us for the evening. What a blast even if the Monarchs lost.
