DMC Rayon

I sent a note to DMC asking whether rayon and satin are one and the same and here's the reply I got this morning.

"Hello Lucille,

We thank you for continued support of DMC products and apologize for the inconvenience but DMC Rayon Floss has been discontinued and replaced with Satin Floss. To answer your question; yes Satin and Rayon are the same because it is manufactured using 100% rayon fibers.

Satin floss formerly Rayon floss has been reproduced as a highly lustrous, divisible, six strand thread made of 100% rayon fibers. Each 8.7 yard skein has a convenient pull skein feature for ease of use. The thread comes in 36 brilliant shades for use on cross stitch, embroidery, and all types of creative stitchery. The Satin Floss color list can be found and viewed on our web site.

Happy Crafting,
