What was the name of that Britcom? I accidentally deleted the message before I noted it. I should get the same station, and I'll check it out.

Did anyone see "Choir" on BBC America last night? A commercial caught my eye, and then the local TV critic gave it a two-thumbs up, "don't miss" review, but...I missed it. I was out in a hot, close bar, hearing DSIL's band. (It's a place we frequently went when we were younger - one of the premiere music clubs - but now it's lost its allure, LOL! I *know* I'm getting old!!!)

Anyway - was it ("choir") good?

I think this is the true story of a boy's choir in a UK high school. Starting from literally nothing - the school was noted for it's sports - a young choirmaster took the boys to the Royal Albert Hall for a prestigeous concert. All the scenes were live shoots - no acting. I thought it was excellent, particularly because it was true and absolutely accurate as to what actually happened. Jim.

Sorry, Sue & others - my group reading is a bit sporadic. Sue, as Sheena properly recalled - I was talking about Doc Martin - which was on either WETA or WMPT - I think MPT, which you definitely get. They are showing double headers on Tuesday evening - back to back 45 min shows. I think you'll like it- this week both episodes were quite good. Seems not to take the look at village life into the unrealistic, but showcases humor, quirkiness and for lack of a better term I'd say sort of the human condition

- sort of the heart inside seemingly odd situations. So far, so good - IMHO.
