Finished Twisted Oaks Etui Pictures are up

Oh, how beautiful! Bobbie, you are truly an inspiration. Now that I've seen yours finished, I'll gather up my bits and pieces one of these days and assemble mine. Thanks for sharing.

The lining silk that I use was a wee bit thin, but it is off a roll that I have. It was brought back by a friend of my mothers family during or shortly after WWII. He was a merchant marine. I had thought to make a bridal peignoir for DD, but her taste runs to flannels or jersey.

Did ya notice the antique ladybug pins and stitch counter that Cheryl I gave me? I bought the fob kit and the little gems scissors a couple of years ago at Celebrations. I plan on making a wool needle leaf with a small ladybug button.

Putting it together was not that difficult. I used Bridal glue (also known as Magnet-Tac) as it sets up quickly.

A big Thank you to everyone for your great comments. I have a bunch of near finished projects that I've left to languish in my craft room. This is the year I finish as many as I can. I am piecing together a knitted Kimono Sweater done in a hand painted yarn by the name of "Green Mountain Madness". I also have a second pair of socks with the heels worked as well. I taught myself to knit both socks at the same time using 2 sets of cable needles. Better than to have one odd sock floating about. LOL!

I have a teaching piece of lacy hardanger to do and have mad progress on Chatelaine's Taj Mahal as well.
