Addie, Try Home Decorators.com. They have map chests, in various sizes and wood finishes. Their shipping is great and they really protect their furniture with careful packing. I bought a 7-drawer 40 inch wide one in mahagony and love it. I store fabrics in it after lining the drawers.
in the basement (one's full of floss boxes, even).

IIRC , Joan, he sold the business and moved to some other part of Texas, where he had a regular job. I don't remember the details, but I do remember the lovely things he made! I enjoyed his posts, and miss him too!

There are lots of variations on the Wooten Patent desk out there; Google seems to hit the auction sites. I have to admit I really would love one and wonder frequently if there are plans to build one.
