DMC floss question

I just purchased a few colors of floss all different numbers. I noticed that the threads are thinner looking and have a different feel to the touch(when working with them). Anyone else noticed this? some of the numbers I purchased- #906 #907 #3853 #368 #369 #632 #934 #817 #523 #3826 #522 Purchased at A.C. Moore, Fredericksburg ,VA two weeks ago

I dont know about the colors you mention, but it is true that some DMC colors are thinner than others. That is why I substitute 3867 (I think), Winter White for Blanc or 3600. It may be my imagination, but I associate "heavy" colors with thick thread, and vice versa. Jim.

Thank you very much. I put my new floss next to my old stock and there was a difference.Hopefully it wont make too much of a difference on my project. Barbara

I know others on rctn have heard this too often, but would you agree with me that it is a good to know how much floss you need to finish a project, BEFORE you start stitching? Jim.

The company I purchased the pattern from, did not send me the update change to the mistake in the pattern, until I was more then half way done. After several emails. Telling them the problem. The pattern was the Sea Sprite. Start at page one and work your way down and find the mistake at pg 17 near the bottom row . I was using some of the material I had left after starting over and repurchasing almost everything again. I could have purchased the art work and still had money left over. I am still a little mad with this company.I will never purchase from them again.Never offered to refund for the mistake.Just sent me an email with the new pattern. I paid $15.00 for the pattern ,that is worthless. And I had to print out the pattern after purchasing more ink for my printer at $70 for the ink. Barbara
