won't keep this live for long, so get it while you can. :-) These directions/graphics, as well as my post earlier, should get you going.

Thanks, Dianne. I went out last night and found what I think will be a nice fabric, some lace to use for trim and today I plan to go tackle Mom's sewing machine one more time (we're having "it's a relic, we don't have the manual and do we really care?" problems with it) and then hopefully I can put your diagrams to good use. I'm sure I'm making this harder than it has to be, but I'm just so darned good at complicating things! LOL Tegan

Tegan, If you can't get the machine to work give me a call. I know I am on the other side of town, and one bridge is out :), but I don't want you getting so frustrated you try and throw the machine out the window :) :) :).

My Dear Baroness... I've watched you enough, that I know if push comes to shove, I CAN hand sew this little horror. I just don't want to. And I'm being unkind to the silly thing, as well. It's a simple little design that has a moon with a cap, some stars and says "daddy's little princess", with the baby's name and birthdate below that. What's made it a horror is that just prior to the birth of the wee beastie I'd sent all the pink fabric in my stash off to England, since I suspected I would never find a use for it. Then, in the spirit of good neighbor relations, asked what would be a good design for her room. "Something pink and girlie would work." Well.. ugh.

And how ARE you managing with that bridge out? I thought it was already closed earlier this year, and drew a complete blank on how to get to Blue Springs. Talon taught me it's much easier to go thru the city than to go around, but I have to confess, I almost stopped and screamed "I'm lost!" before I remembered I could still get to 70 from the Broadway bridge.

It's wonderful to 'see' you here! Tegan

Actually, we are kind of on opposite sides of the great KC area, each in a different state :). You are probably closer to her than I am being in Liberty. Lately we have 'met' more often right here :).

Hey Tegan; going to renfaire this year? I should be out almost every sunday at T'gers. And I get get around muuuuuuch better now!

And that would be my fault. I just can't seem to work up the interest to come play. I THINK about it, but that's about as far as I get. It just still feels like the better part of that is missing. Maybe someday it won't feel like I'm trying to operate with a missing limb...

And yes, Lizzie, you are closer. I'm in Dearborn, which is about halfway between the airport and St. Joseph.

I do plan to come out at least once. There again, the better part is missing. I'll be sure to hunt you up though. And I'll probably even buy one of T'ger's shirts. I've wanted one for years. The last time I was out, I wore mundane's and felt so ill-dressed that I ended up draped in a borrowed cloak so I didn't feel quite so out of place! Who'd have thought? Tegan

And here I just recently learned (or relearned)just how easy it is to get to Lawrence! And yes, the bridge is out on 116 and will be for some time, I think. I came down 92 this afternoon, coming home from Liberty (Sonic in Smithville called my name LOUDLY)and I see they are doing major work on 92. Scary to see all the housing developments where there used to be just country, isn't it?

Next time you are > I'm still thoroughly annoyed that I didn't know you back in '87 when I
