interesting read for dr Brat and others

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but I want to state that I too saw the show but that didn't seem to me to be a big deal at the time and I put it out of my head. I was, as usual, annoyed at the reaction of the press, but not surprised. It seemed to me then, and it still seems to me, that they make much ado about nothing.

I really would love to know the whole truth and not the truth as it comes to me to fill time on the endless news broadcasts.

And I protest that I found much to be annoyed with and I feel that the press did just exactly what the press is supposed to do. Hillary's response, knowing full well that the Muslim question really hurts Obama (and he's *not* a Muslim), tried to say everything but: No, of course not . . . the *first* time she was asked the question. She didn't. She dodged, fudged and waffled until, after rephrasing the question several times, she admitted "No."

You and I disagree yet again.

Apparently you have a much better memory than I do and/or we simply see things differently.

Here's an excerpt directly from the show itself and it seems pretty cut and dried to me, but I guess I don't remember quite as clearly as you do.

There's a difference between being African-centered and being anti-white. I've been looking more into Trinity (which is part of the larger United Church of Christ) and I really don't see how it can be characterized as anti-white. Anti-assimilationist, yes, but not anti-white:

Calling it anti-white is like saying that feminism is anti-male.Elizabeth

There's no need to get hostile. I went to the above link and found nothing about the particular broadcast in question. It was about Ohio. In any event, we can agree to disagree. I'll not post anything more on the subject.

And how does the church explain away the tie with Farrakhan and anti-Semitism?

Sorry, but I must add this---Lest this be misunderstood, I don't mean Obama, I mean the church.

The church doesn't have to. As far as I can tell, that's a tie between Wright and Farrakhan, not between the church and Farrakhan.

The Church launched the Trumpet Magazine and the magazine gave Farrakhan an award. Doesn't that make it a direct tie ?

Yes, it does.

I will note, though, that the Anti-Defamation League has apparently seen no evidence of anti-Semitism on Wright's part.

And my original point still stands, I don't see how Afro-centrism automatically translates into "vehemently anti-white."

Well, you could have said as much. I wasn't interested enough to read four pages of news. Okay. I read page 4. That's not the full context or text of the discussion the way I remember it. It's an excerpt, not a full transcript. Her mannerism, her flippancy, her brush off, her innuendo. It was uncalled for. And I'm *not* anti Hillary.

Sorry about that. I guess I could have done that.

I do believe I said it was an excerpt, but it was directly from CBS.

I'm glad you're *not* anti Hillary because I would hate to hear what you might say if you were. ;^))
