JIm had his 70th birthday last Saturday, and received nice gifts from me. Well, yesterday the surprise gift arrived. I got him the newly released Kindle2. He loves electronics anyway, but this is truly awesome. This evening, he hit a button and got me a copy of Higgins Handbook of Embroidery, from 1880. I skimmed through it, and I know it is now on sale at Amazon. It is such an unlikely item to be downloaded as a freebie It amazed me.
It was fun lookingthrough it, and reading it because a it was written over a century ago.
