Needlebooks & Necessaries

Cheryl, I'm replying in this awkward way because Thunderbird went haywire and I had to re-establish everything.

My wool-on-wool necessary's initials were done in teeny chain stitches, not French knots, with a single strand of Appleton crewel.

Good luck in your project for your DD. I was always going to take my project apart, line it, cut down the seams. But I never got to it. Once done, once forgotten. It served its purpose. I've decided not to design for awhile. Other fish to fry.

Neat! I still love it, quite elegant

Most days, I figure that the bits will remain in a plastic box that can be tossed when destroyed. Rinks and locker rooms are tough on most things.

You never use it? That seems sad to me!

I know that feeling!

Dianne, it's very beautiful. Can you open it up and take a photo of the inside?
