I think FG is out in paper now, I have to get my own copy, cause it is a re-readable. Cheryl
Thanks, Cheryl! I am just about finished with my current book and was on the lookout for something good. Do you know how many are in this series?

2 so far with a third coming according the author's note at the end. I was fascinated with myths and fairytales as a kid (still am to some extent) and love the "take" of the 500 Kingdoms series. Roberta Gellis also wrote several retellings of Greek myths. Also a good read.

If you want the mother of all books with references to all sorts of other stories/fables/myths buried in it, try Silverlock by John Myers Myers. Pretty much everything in the book, even the most innocuous bits of the setting, are taken from something else.
Best wishes, Ericka
That sounds oddly familiar. I'll see if the library has it or will get it for me! Cheryl
I read this ages ago, before going to college and taking "liberal arts" classes. I keep meaning to reread it now that I'd get more of the references.
Hmmm....I'll need to buy or borrow it...fire took most of my book stockpile...well Crap!

If you want another series that will throw literary references at you left and right, try Jason Fforde's series Thursday Next series. I think it starts with the Eyre Affair.
Cheryl
It does. I just finished that one. _Lost in a Good Book_ is next, but not until grades are in.
