Since you'all have listened to me for the past umpteen years,,,,,,,,,I thought it'd be fair to post GOOD NEWS.
Had my yearly check-up, and it went well.
BEST PART: I can walk again--more than 'just do, and then sit again.....but actually WALK FOR 5 MINUTES before I have to sit and rest. No, I don't start at 5 minutes tomorrow--I work my way up. If all goes well, by the END of this summer, I should be able to walk for 5 minutes TWO TIMES a day!
I have tried knitting (on my own initiative) the Continental way for a few days off and on, but my hands would be numb the following morning (not 2 days of knitting in a row, but every so often)......so now, I have to re-learn how to do it the American way where you 'throw the yarn' is how he put it..and once again with TIME constraints, and work your way up.
Still have to hold off on trying Hand Stitching: "We'll talk about it again this fall". (Fine motor skills Dept) So, I have a teeny tiny glimmer of hope. Still can't peel/chop taters and that may always stay the same cause of the Neuropathy.
Butterfly (Rejoice with me cause 2 years ago, I would not have believed you if you had said THIS is where I'd be today : : ) : ) : )
