I get to start slow and easy...like from the truck to the store, a bit in the store, and back to the truck. Hardest part might be NOT taking off cause I'm so excited!

I knit vaguely in the continental way, it's basically a unique way as I am a self taught knitter and when I couldn't figure out everything from the diagrams, I focused on getting the yarn in the right place doing the right thing and getting it there in whichever way I could, which turned out to be roughly continental style. I think it's slower, particularly on purl rows, but my hands disagree with all attempts at learning the other way (I won't call it American, they knit that way in the UK too!) - I have a wonky thumb on my right hand, which though it does cause pain with some things, with knitting, it seemed to just place extra forces on to my fingers and cause pain there. Unfortunately knitting in general hasn't worked too well for me for a while, which is a shame as I do enjoy it and I'm half way through a cardigan which I'd really like to finish before it completely goes out of fashion!
