Hello all, I am finally back. I feel like I have fallen off the face of the earth! lol Holly smokes you people sure talk alot! LOL

First my computer crashed, DH had trouble with his, I can usually access the web from the one at work but it too has been sick for over a week now. DH finally got all ours at home back up and running.

I've been Mom the chauffer for more than a week. Yesterday I had to drop off and pick up both boys from seperate events 3 times (for those of you who might be counting that's 6 total ) ! Today it's only 2 each. Must work on getting oldest his drivers license! LOL actually, I've been having him drive to these events, that's been a little scary let me tell you! LOL He's really not htat bad unless we turn into nearly empty parking lot then he scars the life out of me! Between after school activities and school day activities I've been about to pull my hair out. (I have a full size van with room for 6 passangere, if the kids have an activity that has less than

10 kids then they aren't allowed a school district bus, so DS #1's ROTC instructors have started calling on me to help out in getting these kids from one event to another during the day. He's on the rifle team and colorguard so they've been doing alot of award ceremonies around the city) Fortunately DH has been doing the after school practice chauffering, unless he's at work. (that's every 3rd day)

I've scanned many of the posts that I had missed. Jacqui, so glad your DH is home and with you, I'll continue to say prayers for your recovery. Congrats on the news of the pregnancy (good thoughts going your way for your continued health) Congras on your sisters upcoming adoption! (though good thoughts and prayers for the baby's family to get back on their feet) Tracy, I'm sorry you are leaving, hope to see you back in the future. Love the Wendy house! Though I might need two of them! LOL Have fun setting it up for your scrap studio! Welcome Arliss, I know you'll find everyone so helpful and oh so talented! Top 5 scrappin' tools: 1. My xyrons, X-box, 500 & 900 2. Cutterped, 12" along with the little ones that cut score and perferate 3. my HP Photoprinter, it was a HUGE investment for me but sooo worth it

  1. all my inks, I am just now starting to be brave enough to start using them without reguard to what they were orginally intended for! 5. my Sizzix! I have all the tag dies now, I love them! I also use very regularly the sizzlet font that a wonderful dear friend gave me for my birthday last year. Deb, sounds like you had a wonderful shopping trip yesterday!! Gotta love the DH that helps you shop for your toys, errr necessary supplies! LOL

I have managed to squeeze in some scrapping. I had put together some "power cropping" envelopes and when I get a few minutes I pull one out and work on it. My LO's have been very basic and simple but I decided that if I waited until I have the time to do the creative, beautiful ones like the rest of you do I'll never get any done! So I decided to go back to the basics. I ahve also started making single page LO's for each of my boys wehn I do LO's so they will have a LO for thier albums as well. (that way I don't have to do it again later, so much simpler. wonder why I didn't think of that before! ) Thanks to whoever suggested that several months ago!

Well I'm off to Chauffer a child, hopefully I don't fall off the face of the earth for a while!

Hi Kenda,

Phew, sounds like your life has gotten up and left the building-- yet you are chasing after it. LOL

Glad you are back.

Hugs, Kate

Welcome back! Sounds like you have the kind of "taxi mom" lifestyle that I have. But it is all good, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Well, I'm off to give DS a driving lesson. Wish me luck. He aged me about 10 years last time we tried this! Arleen

Glad to have you back posting Kenda. You already know how much I've missed you! LOL

First is geting them the license, next is trusting them enough to take your car for a spin all by themselves. Now that i really scary, no matter at what age!

Welcome back Kenda. You sure have been busy. Plus you manage to find time to scrapbook.

Glad to have you back Kenda!

lol! Good luck Arleen! Hey...that would make a great LO topic! You can even save some of those grey hairs as evidence! ;))

Judy, SA - feeling in a silly mood tonight!

Wow. You made me tired just reading your post. Hope you get to relax soon.

I don't mind the "taxi mom" lifestyle but I sure thought I would get eased into. But NO it's all of a sudden. Comes and goes in spurts!

Good luck with the driving lesson, hopefully he won't age you too much! I understand though....

Thanks M-C! I only have the fear of letting him drive Alan's truck! He won't be getting behind the wheel of my van! It's not paid for yet!

Thnaks Chrissy, only have been scrappin' 5-10 minutes at at time. I lay it out on my table and can walk away from it and come back to it. This is the only self defense I have right now! Sometimes I just walk past the table, move something then keep going. But it's worked so far!

LOL Shannon, I used to relax when I went to work but that is out for now. We are in class most of the day. When we're not in class then we're doing inspections, as well as responding to calls. Can't wait for my vacation at the end of the month!

I've just started trusting mine to go for a bike rides without me. YIKES I haven't even thought about them driving yet. I'm sweating bullets just thinking about it.

Lynne

Glad to have you back Kenda. Hang in there sounds like me you have a few more years of chauffeuring to do. My daughter just started softball practices and they are 3 to 4 times a week. My son is sportless right now or I'd be pulling my hair out too.

I saw a LO once where the scanned their vehicle keys and then journaled everywhere the vehicle went in a day's (or was it a week's) time. Kind of 'this is how I spend my day' sort of thing. It was a neat LO. Sandy

I've sent three out into the world with a driver's license so far and I tell you it don't get any easier when it comes time for the next one..... Sandy

I really start to sweat when I think of my youngest who will be doing this in about 1 1/2 years!
