Back after a long time...

Hi Everyone

I have not been on the group for more than a year and it is great to see a lot of familiar faces still.

How has everyone been doing???

The reason (amongst others) why I have been away for so long, is that my eyesight grew very weak because of a cataract. I was very scared to go for the op, but finally did it last week and so far it's a big success although I'm still recovering.

I'm so excited to get scrapping again! Now that I can see all the patterned papers and embelishments clearly again. My mom remarried in the mean time and I would love to make her an album for Christmas.

Well, just wanted to say - I'm back! Looking forward to seeing all of your work again :))

It is awesome to "see you again! I am writing from the Bahamas where I am visiting and helping out a friend who is opening the first official scrapbook store in this country. So I can't write much especially via google, but I wanted to say hi and it's great to have you back!

Hi Marcella

Thanx for sharing that. I'm also only 36. It seems people get cataracts at a younger age these days. I'm glad things have worked out well for you too :))

Hi Lynne!

You know, I've been itching to get scrapping again! In the weeks befor the op, I just kept thinking of the pages I wanted to make and that kept me motivated to go through with it :)

I've allready purchased the album and might do the title page this weekend if the weather clears up. It's been very cold and raining non-stop here for almost a week. My "scrap house" is outside our home - so keep your fingers crossed that I can get scrapping this weekend! :))

Thanx Linda! I must confess - I was really scared, but praises be to our Lord, everything is going good so far. They say the recovery takes up to 6 weeks. 5 weeks to go for me.

It's great to see you back! My mom had cataract surgery on both eyes a few yrs ago. She had worn glasses for over 40 yrs and after the surgery didn't need them anymore. Here's to a quick recovery for you so that you can get back scrappin'. After all, you do have that wonderful little cabin out back to work in.

I'm really having a hard time get getting my scrap on. hahaha. I think I'll join you this weekend and work on a goal of one page.

I remember your "scrap house." Wasn't it called something like a Betty house?
