Here is my suggestion for the day for all of those with other halves that we want to keep, but on occasion sit on our hands so that we don't strangle them.
If you have a label machine, make labels for both ends of every cable/power cord, connected to your computer. It really does help so that one of you is not reaching over the table gently pulling on the cord to identify it to the person under the table and vice versa. Labels keep relationships in the "happy word" moments. At least ours is once again since I now have everything labeled. Like 20 cord/40 lables.
How is this on topic? If everything is labeled, including one's sewing machine power cord, it is less likely to get unplugged at a most inopportune moment and one is not pulled away from sewing to help identify unknown cords/cables via user manuals, the internet or trial and error. I'm still smiling. I think.
While expensive, label ribbons are worth every penny.
Just my thought for the day.
