I'm off to a good start! I spent Sunday 1/18 quilting most of the day. Getting bindings done of some of my WIPs. I just picked up a twin and king quilt from the quilters so it's going to be a binding binge this week but it will feel good getting these done!

I'll have to take a rain check on that, I'm always doing something else that weekend and a bit this time of year. Maybe sometime during the time when DS is at school, after I've made myself some clothes and fixed some of DS's...

Hey, well done, PAT. I had completely forgotten our now tradition. I am happy to say that I was sorting out a pattern and fabric for a 'way out' baby quilt this morning! It is forecast to be very cold and wet/snowy this week, so I think I will make huge efforts to get something substantial achieved by the end of the week. What an incentive! Yippee. Thanks again. . No winter blues here; it's sunny, warmish (best time to be in Texas), robins are thick in the back yard, and the quilt fabric is plentiful.

I hope to finish the star blocks for a new quilt (twin+) today or tomorrow and get the binding on a quilt I piece about 3 years ago. Yesterday I printed the foundations for a wall hanging to go in our bathroom.

i did start my DS and his fiance's wedding quilt. And i have been hand quilting my sister's quilt a little everyday.

I love 12 day "weeks" Monday I had a one person class at one of the shops here. Student was very pleased to finish her bag before leaving. I'm working on my Hoffman Challenge quilt (hand piecing it, may do some hand quilting on it too.......) Teaching "Convergence" quilts on Thurs, and finishing the month by working for TreadleArt at the "Sewing/quilting/craft" show at the fairgrounds. Also doing some designing, and such. and other related stuff to be done.

Does getting your sewing/quilting room put back together count as doing something "quilty"?

It's almost there, I've washed all the "blues and whites" and maybe, just maybe, barring any further disasters or family health issues, I MIGHT get to start cutting strips for my Double Irish Chain this weekend! Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!!!!

Got my latest stack & whack starched, cut into segments and pinned. Plan to wed after work, sew Thursday, assemble top and backing Friday, pin-baste and quilt Saturday, bind Sunday.

For next week ,I think I'll get started on my freehand Hop, Skip & Jump. Give my right-brain a little exercise.

On Sunday, I quilted the fabric for my quilt binder cover (a project that my Florida group is working on). I managed to get the pieced border on a scrap quilt, and yesterday DH and I pin-basted my blue and yellow queen quilt, ready for quilting. My group meets this afternoon, so I'll be doing "quilty" things, then tomorrow we are laying sod in the front yard, so no quilting! Friday I'll be heading to the Orlando quilt show, so I think I'll have a pretty quilty week!

Ah, but this is Celebration Quilting!! Every year around this time, so long as it includes 27 January. Pat, enjoying the sunshine in Virginia

Oh, absolutely!! I've re arranged things a bit this week, too. I now have a small TV in the sewing room, so that necessitated some changes. Yesterday I worked a bit on sorting some of that, and made a special block for a Quilt of Valor exhibit my guild is planning. It is the Union block, in red white and blue. I am dating it since it was done on Inauguration Day. I also worked on some of the Double Irish Chain cutting and piecing .... great minds, eh? PAT in VA/USA
