The form for the Directory - Volume 16 is now available. It will remain open until February 17, 2009 so that gives everyone 4 weeks to figure out their favorite colors and fabric types! Once it is closed, Karen will do her magic on the data. If all goes well, the Directory will be distributed to those who pass muster on or about March 1. If you know someone who has not been posting lately due to an illness or family issue, please try to get in touch with them to let them know the form is open.
The Directory is a listing of names and addresses and other information of group members who routinely post on the newsgroup and participate in quilt related topics. The Directory information is used to surprise folks with squishies or cards or chocolate! The personal nature of this information requires that we keep the data very secure which is why not everyone who fills in the form will be added to the Directory. The longer you are a member of the group and the frequency of your posts and replies will determine if you make it in this time. If you don't make it in this time, keep on posting until we get to know you a bit better. The Directory is updated annually. Now for some instructions:

Fill out the form ONCE! When you submit the form, a confirmation page will appear which you can print. This form reflects the information you provided.
Please try to pick only two favorite colors and only two favorite fabric types. The field size is limited so try not to type a paragraph or statements like "anything but reds, whites, or greens". If you don't have a preference, just indicate "no preference". These choices are used for others to send fabric surprises so keep it simple.
Some fields are required and others are optional. You will know if you missed a required field when you hit the submit button. A message will appear telling you what needs to be corrected.
A new field has been added for the Face Book users. This field is a "Yes" or "No" check box. This will at least alert others as to whether they can search for you on Face Book. If they need more information from you, they can contact you privately using the email you provide.
