Just a reminder: RCTQ QUILTING WEEK '08 runs 19-18 JANUARY!
I've enjoyed a variety of quilt related activities, and plan some more. Last week end we went to South Carolina. On the way, we stopped a the HUGE fabric store in Gastonia, NC: Mary Jo's. WOW! I bought backing for a raffle quilt, some unusual patriotic fabric for a Quilt of Valor, some Fossil Fern because I didn't have any, a few spools thread, and a new Omnigrip 8.5" by 24" ruler. The prices at the store are quite good, and the selection is mind boggling! While DH drove the car, I read a quilting book, the Twist and Turn book by Sharyn Craig. Monday I cut and sewed sashing for a QoV Sampler. Yesterday my bee took four QoV to Church for blessing, and photographs. Today I looked at some very old quilts in Colonial Williamsburg. Tonight I will baste a small quilt, and tomorrow I will piece sashing and blocks. Fun, fun, fun!
Apparently, while I was gone there was some excitement here. I hope there was some quilt making, too! Quilting Week is our Annual Event to offset January Blahs. What quilt activities are you enjoying this time around?
