I lost access to RCTQ months ago and have been missing our daily chats. Thi s time I have tried access thru Google. My major quilting push is finishing UFO's . When we moved last June I had to face the reality of all the UFO's in my life. If one no longer thrilled me I gave it away but kept many. Now it is just a matter of working thru the piles. I've joined a local quilt g uild but with 250 members it isn't too friendly. A former student who lives near my new home invited me to join her invitation only sewing group. It m eets once a month from noon to 9 p.m. in the community room of an office bu ilding. This is just the group I needed. No divas, just experienced quilter s with good hearts. Fun to have company while we sew. Some gals work full t ime so do not arrive until after 5:00. My husband didn't retire as we were planning but has cut back his schedule only going to office once a week. Th e rest of the time he works from home but doesn't punch a clock. It is real ly the best of both worlds. Hopefully you will receive this post and I will be able to read replies.
