It's been a long week in NH. Yesterday started and ended at a rink. DD had to be at the rink for 6:30 AM, left, went home returned to the rink at noon, went to the next rink and didn't leave there until 5 PM. Then this AM, DD and I did a cookie booth.
Then came the "odd" part of the day - my turn to sit at the poker hall for DS's team fund raiser. Talk about interesting people watching. I had some stitching with me and sat in the corner while the crowd waxed and waned. A couple of tense moments around the high stakes table and some raised voices while the officer on duty dealt with the issues, but no actual fights. I got an Ozark Sampler freebie started and chatted with dealers on break and a few players that had a meal between hands. One gent told me all about the needlework his mother did and one kid said he couldn't do that - his hands won't do what his brains tell them to at that kind of detail.
