Harriet the Terrorist, I love it. Thanks Joan, I passed it along, sans headers, to my son's teacher.

Thanks for a grin. This reminds me of way back when my brother and I were small and mom recorded our voices. You could hear the tv in the background after Sesame Street saying 'This program was brought to you from the United States office of Education...', then I said no America, America. Like United States of America. Funny

:) I did that with DD when she was 3, "reading" Goldilocks & the 3 bears. Wish I had thought to do it with her 2 older brothers, although DS#2 has *never* liked books other than "The stinky cheese man and other fairly stupid tales" or Shel Silverstein's silly poetry.

Oh, Stinky Cheese Man is one of my favourites!!! I also really enjoy Math Curse and Science Verse, also by Scieszka and Smith.

OMG Shel Silverstein, haven't thought of him in YEARS! One of our faves also, among Sendack's Little Bear, Dahl's Miss Wonkamstrong and Ungerer's No Kiss for Mother. That was a classic. I read it at 19 into a tape as a farewell gift for a friend, and could still remember the way mom did it. I also took the tapes and played them into my computer and burned cds, to keep the memory going.

I just recently found out, they are filmatizing the book How to eat Fried Worms. Memories of the 5th grade. Might see it just for fun..

ps. We also have on tape, my brother at five when dad asked him if he wanted a glass of milk: No dad, milk has enzymes that make you slep. My brothers profession: a doctor, studying to become an anesthesiologist. GRIN

LOL! My sister was playing with her 4yo granddaughter and told her that "Little girls are made of sugar & spice and everything nice", to which Emily answered, "No they're not, Grandma; they're made of DNA!!!" Daughter of two biologists. :)
