I saw a story on TV recently about a someone who does that kind of work.

Cutting the book kind of thing I mean

In 1990 or thereabouts, I happened into a gallery display by a local artist, David Wisniewski, who had illustrated a children's book titled "Elfwin's Saga" with cutouts. The gallery exhibit was a collection of the original illustrations, and they were breathtaking. Hundreds of tiny, meticulously cut out pieces of paper, arranged in a college. Needless to say, I bought the book!
