OT: funny DD story

Jun 29, 2010 3 Replies

Last weekend I was out with 27 y.o. DD. We pulled up to a red light, and I joked, "Let's blow it out." We routinely used to do that when the kids were little.

She told me, "You know, I tried that a couple of weeks ago when I was in the car with DH. He looked at me, and asked what I was doing."

"I'm blowing out the light," she said.

And he gave her a weird look, and said, "You know that doesn't work, right?"

Now he's probably truly convinced he married into a totally crazy family.

You say that as if there's something wrong with the idea!?!?!?!

Hey - we do something similar. But we are all convinced there is a transmitter someplace in DH that makes all the lights turn red as he gets near with almost no yellow light.

Maybe we all come from the same slightly nutty family. My father used to pull that on me when I was a kid and you know that was a long time ago.
