OT: Grandson has arrived

We are happy to say our little grandson arrived yesterday at 7:17, after an emergency c-section. He was a few weeks early but a healthy

6 lbs. 1 oz. Vincent is a little doll with lots of hair and looks like his Daddy. Our daughter is doing quite well after a dangerous rise in her blood pressure.

Just a name they liked and since their two year old daughter is Veronica, it sounded nice together. It sounds like they get to come home on Monday and we are all so very happy. Grandpa spent the day with Veronica planting flowers and going to get groceries. I spent some time in the infant departments around time. Tonight - more stitching for Vinnie. Moni

I'm making one up using various sports elements and the little bears from 101 Bears with personality by Leisure Arts. Dustin is a Chicago boy so I'm making all the bears with those sports teams/colors. I added borders and a block at the bottom of footballs, basketballs and baseballs. I've got more sport themed things to finish, like his bedroom curtains and a rug. I've made a Chicago Cubs bib in crossstitch and some other little things with his name, etc.

So don't! I'm sure it'll be a help to the new mother to not have to run after the toddler for a few more days till she gets Vinnie in a routine.

They have a standing offer for Veronica to be with us as long as they will allow it!! Dustin has a flexible schedule though and he'll be home a lot. He's used to having her every day and Kimberly is excited to spend six weeks at home with her kiddies.

We enjoy having Veronica and since they live out of town, when she's with us she makes a royal tour of all the great grannies, great aunts and uncles, etc. My DH just retired and we have lots of time to devote to spoiling kids. However, I am one of the fibromites on this board and the fibro starts kicking in when I get tired. Fortunately, I just lost 50 pounds and am still losing, and that has helped my stamina. I think I'll need it as we add grandkids!! Moni
