My 13 yo dd, whose hair grows about as fast as a snail moves, cut off
11-1/2" of hair to donate to Locks of Love this weekend - and she didn't even cry about it! She now has about a chin length wedge. She looks adorable - and I'm really proud of her for being brave enough to go against the grain of all those straight, long parted in the middle looks to be uniquely herself!
She did it partly in recognition of her friend and swim team mate's sister, who had brain cancer. Fortunately, the treatment appears to have been successful and she is now in remission. But R benefitted from these wigs and A wanted to help someone else in the same situation.
Just had to brag!
