OT--Scan is clean!

Just wanted you all to know that my last scan was clean! I can officially say I beat it! I have been reading posts and I am so happy things are looking up for a lot of members! I am happy those with travel plans have made it to and back okay! Yay! My prayers go out to those who need it. MC--I hope you get to feeling better soon and I hope Dave is over his bout with poison ivy soon too! I have been back to scrapping this week, doing almost a page per day. It has been nice. I can say between that and my vegetable garden, I have had some relaxing "me" time---even if I have to "fight" with the two boys and DH to get it. Of course, some of my best ideas come at 2AM. LOL On another note, I am hoping to be able to grow my hair long so I can donate to Locks of Love. So...if any of you have any ideas on how to grow hair quickly, please let me know. It has seemed to slow down this year. I hope I will be able to do the no chemical processing for as long as it takes. When that is done, I think I will go all out--color, texture etc.... TIA! Jacqui

YIPPEE!!!!

Jacqui that is such great news!! The Lord does listen too and answers prayers, I am so happy for ya!!

About that hair, that is so wonderful too. BUT, fighting (LOL!) with the loved ones will not allow it to grow long!!! You must parlay those thoughts, go to your scrap area and RELAX. That is the best medicine of all - LOL!!

((Big Hugs and God Bless!!))

80 for 06 2 cards

(speaking of relaxing, I am going to April's and ranch sit for a few days. I so love going there as that is relaxation and peace and quiet!!)

Very good news about your scan. Thanks SO much for sharing with us!

I don't know anything about growing out long hair, but check the Locks of Love web sight about requirements for hair. I got my hair cut a couple years ago with the intention of donating it to locks of love. I had a wonderful pony tail cut off. My hair dresser said it couldnt't be donated, because it had been colored. So, I just took it home and it layed around in a drawer for a year or so. Then I threw it away. My daughter then decided to donate her hair to locks of love. I went on the web sight to see where to send and found out that my colored hair would have been acceptable! I was SO disappointed I had thrown it away! Oh well. Found a place that gave "locks of love" donors free hair cuts and they'll send in the donation. My daughter got a post card later from Locks of Love thanking her for her donation.

Jacqui,

Larry and I are doing the happy happy dance. I'm so glad that you are "in the clear."

I'm going to check out locks of love to see what the length requirement is.

Hugs, Kate

Thats wonderful news congratulations!! It's great to see you back again. Good luck on the hair! It seems when you want it to grow out it takes forever. Then when I have a short haircut, it grows so quickly. LOL.

Here is the link to Locks of Love, I guess it can be colored or permed but not bleached.

That's wonderful news Jacqui.

It's got to be ten inches tip to tip, not greying or damaged... I was going to get my hair cut and donate it just last month, but it's not long enough... so after a bit of thought I decided to grow it a few more months - I've only got two inches to go!

Actually gray hair is accepted. It is "sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing." So, though it may not be used for a wig it will help the wig program. Why do I know this... because I have SO much gray hair and I refuse to dye it right now. :)

You know I was thinking that my hair grew like crazy when I was pregnant. No, not suggesting you get pregnant... snicker... BUT maybe the prenatal vitamins helped. Check out the daily vitamin section there are some geared towards women. That might help.
