OT--Scan is clean!

Oh, I'm sorry you didn't get to donate your hair! :*(

Both Maya (my 5 y/o) and I have donated our hair, one of these days I'll get around to scrapping the pictures from that! Very worthwhile organization.

Yes, I agree--I've had long hair for a long time, but it really took off when I was pregnant with Maya! I would have kept it long, but I nursed her, and she was the kind of baby who needed to yank on a handful of hair every time she nursed (every 45 minutes the first few months!!!) so rather than let her pull it all out ;-) I decided to get it cut short and donated my braid to Locks of Love.

Maya's hair was incredibly long right before her 5th birthday (below her knees almost) since it had never been cut (it was curly, so looks shorter in these pictures)-

and she loved the story of how I cut my hair and gave it to the 'bald kids' and wanted to donate her hair as well. She decided to get it cut the day before her birthday, and she wanted it short! It turned out pretty cute That was last October, and now it's already past her shoulder blades again! She says she's going to grow her hair down to her ankles, and get it cut around her lower back area (she's a PRINCESS, you know so she needs princess hair, :-) and donate the cut hair to another little girl. :*) She was disappointed that she would never get to meet the children she helps, but knows she did a very good thing for them. :*) Carolyne in TX
