Has anyone got an email address for McAfee, please. I just had an email offering a bargain price on their virus check renewal if I renew early and asking for my credit card number. Very suspicious.
Blowed if I can come up with an email address on their site - it tells you to email them, but when you click on the link doesn`t actually give you an address, just loads more options that lead you round in circles!

Typical McAfee - give yourself a treat, try PC_Cillin - works very well, continual updates and easy renewals. I just did my renewal and received 70% off as a third year customer. It is not as bloated as either Norton or McAfee either. You can also try PC_Cillin for free for 30 days to see how you like it.

Tried it - preferred McAfee. Apart from not being able to email them, that is! Norton always used to mess everything up.

and log in. As a user you should have received an ID. Then you renew easily. BTW - Norton does not play well with Win98, but works very well with XP.

I don`t need to renew yet - this email promised me a big discount if I renewed early. I became suspicious when it asked for my credit card details (like those Paypal and Ebay scams). I tried logging in at McAfee, having subscribed for about 6 years, but it is so cumbersome to get to where you want. I eventually got through to the customer services live chat bit, but they weren`t all that helpful. Someone just sent me their email address anyway, so I think I`m OK now, thanks. This particular machine is Windoze ME - only my laptop is XP - so far! I wouldn`t touch Norton with a bargepole, having tried it several years ago with weird results I just don`t trust it. Never had any bother with McAfee, so far, at least.
Thanks for the help anyway.
Still waiting for a decent thunderstorm - very high humidity. Everyone got one last night but us! They promise us a month os "tropical storms". Whoopee! The garden`s still like cement, even with the shower we had last night.

The stuff I'm finding under customer service keeps trying to get you to connect and chat with a live agent. Have you tried that?

Yes thanks, Brenda, but he wasn`t a lot of help. I had to explain that it`s unusual to be asked for credit card details by email from a reputable companyn (viz. the Paypal/Ebay scams).
You`d think it would be easier to find how to email them from their website, wouldn`t you?
Still, I`ve done it now. Whether I ever receive a reply is a different matter, of course! LOL!
