A favorite limerick from law school days - - -
There once was a lawyer named Tex Who had minimal organs of sex. When arraigned for exposure, He said with composure, "De minimus non curat lex."
The last line is a very old legal maxim, roughly translated to be "the law will not cure a minimal injury", generally considered to mean that the courts will not waste time on trivial matters.
I have no idea who wrote the limerick.
