I had a 10 minute appointment at the hospital in Kirkwall. Left on the Tuesday morning ferry, the weather was very windy and the boat moved about quite a bit! After a haircut, the 10 minute appoinment and a nice lunch I discovered that the return ferry had been cancelled because the weather had deteriorated. All the hotels were full but I managed to find a room in a nice B&B. Returned to Stronsay on the 7am ferry (Wednesday), arriving at 0835 to a lovely sunny morning.
