I will probably be misquoted if this thread goes anywhere, but let me go on record anyway. There is a young lady by the name of something like Mizra, doing very well indeed at the US Open Tennis Championships. She is from India, and her father was a great cricketer. She is also a very devout Muslim. Naturally she cannot compete at that level of play wearing a Muslim headscarf. Apparently she was asked about this and her reply was something like "Allah has given me great gifts, and I honor him by using them. What I wear is between myself and Allah". I am really hoping she can go all the way, and win the US Open Tennis Championships. I think it be a fantastic thing for the world to see what Muslim women can accomplish.

A volante tribe of bards on earth are found,/ who, while the flattering zephyrs round them play,/ on "coignes of vantage" build their nests of clay;/ how quickly from that aery hold unbound,/ dust for oblivion!/ To the solid ground/ of nature trusts the mind that builds for aye.
