OT: Where to stay in Lonon?

I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE.

It was not a recommendation. My daughter-in-law decided , on a short time, to go to London for a week a year or so back. I had lost my step-son, and she thought I needed a "trip".

She made reservations for our flight, and I made hotel reservations.

Now, we were there for a very short time ( a week) so access to travel was a priority.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express near VIctoria station. I would NEVER recommend it.

IT was GROSSLY overpriced, about $300 a night; we had a basement room and the shower overflowed.

On the plus side, we were only there for six days, and it was a perfect place to use to get to either Victoria Station ( bus too), or the underground at Pimlico.

All I can advise is check ahead; I thought I had done that but my dear DIL surprised me.

BTW I lost5 lbs just walking and we had the most woeful time
