who knows what happened to ATE (Aardvark Territorial Enterprise, from Livermore, California.) This was perhaps one of the largest independent craft mailorder suppliers in the states, the owner died, the daughter took over, and I have not heard anything from them in ten years.

Aardvark Territorial Enterprise WAS such a great resource! It was largely a family owned & run business. Tragically, as I recall, either the mother or the father became inflicted with a serious cancer. They were driving to the city for treatment and got in a terrible accident. Both were killed. The enterprise stopped shortly thereafter, but the final issue related what had happened. I was VERY sad. Hope that information goes through 20 years after your inquiry and drive safely, everybody!
