Table Runners

I originally found cut work and machine embroidered runners and table toppers in Germany where they are very popular and there are entire shops devoted to such linens. They are very difficult to find here in the USA, but I have purchased a couple at Michael's. The maker of the line is Wimpole Street Creations at this link:

Does anyone in this group stitch any kind of table runners such as hardanger, cross stitch, etc for craft fairs? I work in a linens department at a local department store and lately we've been having a run on people looking for cutwork or as they put it 'fancy stitching' needlework table runners. I've never seen them in my department but have been suggesting the people try craft fairs. I honestly have no idea. Nor did I know they were a popular item until recently!
