The Hardanger Wedding

Has anyone done the pattern of the Hardanger Wedding in Treasures in Needlework issue Summer 1993? Maybe I am blind but I do not see the center marked on the pattern. IE Where do you start????

I don't know the specific design you're talking about but every Hardanger design I've done has given a starting point around the edge. Once you've gotten the outlining klosters done you can work inward.

I know hardanger and the pattern is the Wedding Sampler in hardanger. The pattern in the magazine has no center point included and it looks just like it is on 30 ct linen. It is a bit hard to read. It look just like someone took a picture of the finished work on linen.

I have contacted the designer of the Wedding Sampler in Hardanger and They are sending me a new pattern that is easier to read.

Thanks

I don't understand your problem. I am currently doing a runner in hardanger, there is only a quarter pattern, it's up to you to organise it into the whole, and there is no suggested starting point.

With this one I started with the centre outside perimeter, it's just logical, so long as that is counted out right, the rest will follow.
