I ordered some, and I had on previous times paid with my checking account on Paypal, but for some reason this time they wouldn't take it (and I have plenty of money in there). I didn't want to use our joint cc (since DH has no idea I pay those prices for pears!) so I cancelled the order. :(

I had heard that there was some kind of issue with Pay Pal this year. If y ou decide you want some, you can always call to confirm the amount & then m ail in a check for the order. What DH doesn't know won't hurt him & he'll enjoy the pears more if he's in the dark. :-)

Who said anything about him getting the pears? I have them delivered to work and keep them all to myself! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

That way they also get delivered somewhere warm and safe & aren't sitting on your front porch FREEZING! :-)

Apparently, these old winter temperatures are good for the trees - as long as they come in winter and not when the blossoms are setting. :-)

Yeah, that wouldn't take long this winter...it's been below 0 for the last week! 3 above right now but is supposed to dive again in a couple of days. Plus we've had quite a bit of snow this year. Starting to feel like the winter of '96/'97--that produced 8 blizzards and then the flood.

Well, I hope so. The last couple of shipments I've gotten have been kind of disappointing. Being forever the optimist, I'll be trying again. :)

Call them & let them know!!!!!!! They need to know if it's a shipping issue or a packing issue or an orchard issue!!! They'll try to make it right for you!

I'll try remember that the next time I get a poor bunch. I think it's more an orchard thing because they haven't been very juicy & sweet.
