update for Ellice

Ellice -

I lost the sampler topic thread where you asked about progress on the big project. My, this group has been very chatty lately!

I haven't really resumed it since finishing the big banner, then holiday stitching. I've spent the last week on another UFO, and only did one letter on the Big Project. I think the little UFO I'm working on is by way of procrastination before rolling up my sleeves. Part of it is the sheer boredom of stitching a *second* alphabet over one! Wasn't ONE alphabet enough? And then there are the Italian words over one - more lettering -- also boring. I should reward myself with other bits and set smaller alphabetical goals! The old spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down theory.

I figure another week on the current UFO (Drawn Thread "Generosity") - maybe less, depending on stitching time - and then will put shoulder to the wheel on the Big Project before allowing a new start! (At least that's the plan!)

(my Big Project, for anyone curious:

that's left is the second alphabet - E onward -, one and a half lines of Italian text, and the big mermaid and bargello - which should be fun after the lettering! Sue

I never should have followed this link. I should know better. I have enough samplers...I have enough samplers...I have enough samplers...

I totally get the theory - it's sort of how I'm planning to work thru - or is it in reverse - take the medicine then get reward.

I love this piece, and can't wait to see your finish. As I'm resisting getting any more big projects until some of the lengthy WIP list is complete.

We'll have to have a meet and stitch or something soon - while I'm enjoying my neurotic leisure time.

Uh-huh! As if this is a stop. Of course, if you got this, well then, the family would think it more in your typical as opposed the sleek In the Midnight Hour.....
