Who was looking for cotton batting

The Michaels I work at has 100% unbleached cotton batting. Let me know if you want some and flat or puffy....

I wish our Michaels carried stuff like that - our store seems to be full of fake flowers and scrapbooking junk. The needlework section is so pathetic - the same stuff has been hanging there since it opened

2-3 years ago. Bwahh When our dollar went over the American dollar, they went around ripping off the American price leaving the Canadian price which is beyond exhorbitant (both Am & Can are displayed on the tags) - the whole store is crap. For example a quilting book had a Canadian price of $47.99 and the American price was something like $24.99. Give me a break.

Yes - working. I'm in the frame shop at a local Michaels. Reasonable low stress (except when working with the cheap off the shelf frames) and you see lots of interesting pieces come through.

She may be working there but the *real* question is, Does she bring home an actual paycheck or is it all in stash? LOL!

Well, go see if your local craft store has need of another framer.

Real paycheck. Not enough needlework stuff that I want to spend it on. BUT let me tell you, that discount makes a huge difference on what I do buy.

Exactly why I didn't take the weekend job offered at the calligraphy shop. If I could blow through $50 in 15 minutes, just popping in to say hello to the owner, I knew there was no hope of coming home in the black after spending 8 hours there.

Plus, the calligraphy shop was catty-corner from LNS....

They probably wouldn't like the fact I go away for months each summer! It is a thought for the Fall, although they may think I am too old to be an employee. We do have a Michaels here. Maybe I will ask them.

They can think that, but they're not technically allowed to act on it.

HMMM -- whoever it was that was interested in batting -- did you want a big piece for a quilt or do you want small stuff? I keep the batting edges that I cut off when I sandwich a quilt and would be happy to share assuming that you only need small stuff to use when stuffing a pincushion or small pillow, etc. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I know it, and I am sure they know it....just depends how desperate they are, and how much I want the job. I saw that when I worked for H&R Block as a *real*, not seasonal, employee. Some 80year olds were great, some weren't, and the same with the 30 year olds.

We are all different.
