For the Butternut Road "Winter Sampler" it indicates how many skeins of the colors used to buy. What I don't know is how large a skein? I see Medici Wool by DMC in hanks, and other measures. Anyone who stitched, please tell me what is meant by a "skein" of this fiber.

I'm no expert at this stuff but a quick Google brought up which says "Medicis - Each skein of Medicis contains 25 meters (27.3 yards). It takes 24 skeins to equal the yardage of one full hank of 600 meters."
