Neophyte here!
I want to put a nice crackle glaze on some white earthenware bisque. The ware is SO white I thought I would simplify matters and just put in on the ware with no other colors. Checking around though it looks like most people are doing crackle in layers. Such as a layer of clear and a layer of crackle. By and large should I put the layer of crackle on first then another layer of clear noncrackle?, or the other way around? And can I just use a micro amount of oxides or mason stains in either the crackle or clear coat to give a subtle color? Thank you for any info..
