Is AOL ending this newsgroup?

Feb 06, 2005 4 Replies

Sorry for the lame question, but I've long forgotten whether this newsgroup is a function of AOL or not. When I sign on now I get a message that "early in

2005" AOL will stop providing access to newsgroups. I know I can find this newsgroup via Google, but will there be one to find after AOL terminates its "access?"

Thanks.

This is a usenet newsgroup and will exist whether AOL terminates access or not. We'll still be here...

I prefer the Groups.Google interface because you use a regular Internet connection and do not have to download messages into a News-reader separate program. It also has great search capabilities which is where its real usefulness comes in. You can search every Newsgroup posting that was ever posted to answer just about any question you have.
