I came across an interesting method for making a roulette wheel in a copy of Ceramics Monthly handbook " Great Ideas for Potters" page 98. It says a wooden clothes pin ( the old fashioned kind-with no spring in it) makes a good handle for a rouletting disk. You mount the disk between the tines of the clothes pin with a small nail. The nail holds the wheel in place and acts as an axle on which the wheel rotates. I haven't made one yet but it is on my "to do" list. Hope this helps you. Sandi
