Tiered tray hardware source?

Hi, anyone have a source for brass hardware to construct tiered trays out of china plates. Looking to threaded posts, top rings... Thanks.

Have you had any luck finding these items? I'd be interested in a source for these myself if you have.

Thanks!

American Science surplus stocks lazy susan bearings.

Thanks Brad.

These bearings are what my Dad used to make my lazy susans and a couple of banding wheels from some lovely wild-cherry wood. They're great!

Got pictures of yours up on your site???

What I'm looking for, though, are the threaded rods that go through the hole in the middle of a couple or three different sized plates with a carrying ring at the top. These are commonly called tidbit trays and are used for appetizers (it's early - I'm not going to try and spell "horsy-dervies" correctly....) or small desserts and/or candies or other small foodstuffs. The hardware is usually brass or brass finished.

The lovely, little 2-tiered tray that I've had forever was taken apart and the hardware boxed separately during a pack-out after I experienced a house fire. The plates came back, but the hardware didn't. I used it for open houses and family get-togethers - takes up very little room on the table and looks quite elegant. I can't use the plates for anything else, since the gravy keeps leaking through the darn hole. Go figure....

Sounds like the original poster is planning on making some of these - I'd sure like to see them when they're done if a hardware source could be located.....

I'll keep looking - hmmm, just thought of something - I didn't google tidbit trays or any of the derivatives - guess I'd better give that a try.

If you know of somewhere that carries these, please let us know. Thanks - have a Happy New Year, Everyone!!!
