A new machine for my quilter?

Okay - in our travels to San Diego, CA, we visited Rosie's Calico Cupboard. They're a Janome dealer. We talked to the manager quite a bit, and she recommended the Janome DC2010

as being suitable for herneeds and in our price range. (We also visited a Bernina dealer, butthe machines were priced quite a bit too high for us.) Whatcha think? Is there a different machine in the same general price range you would recommend we look at?

I've been very pleased with all my Janomes. This appears to have what a quilter needs- the needle up/down being a biggie in my opinion. I'd advise buying the walking foot and free motion/darning foot and 1/4 in. seam foot. Insist the dealer throw them in for free after you make your best deal on the machine- hey, you can try. The only thing that I would like in addition to the 2010s features would be the larger throat space... but that would involve spending quite a bit more $$$. She can trade up as her 'addiction' to quilting grows.

Good choice- I approve! ;-)

Howdy!

Once you've found the Janome, you can quit looking.
