AvLyn Creations fabric

Has anyone here used AvLyn Creations fabric? I noticed that the price is usually a bit lower than most other good quality quilt fabrics. I found some pretty bright AvLyn Creations fabric on sale at

prices are pretty low, starting at just $3.99 per yard Karen in Oklahoma

I bought some of The Lady and the Fly collection, Nancy J. Smith and Lynda S. Milligan, Possibilities by AvLyn. It is just a thick as other fabric I have bought.

Haven't cut it up yet....

Yes - have bought Yes - have used

NO - don't recall any problems, and if I don't remember any there probably weren't any.

I do like a lot of the designs they put out.

Yes, I have bought some. Evidently no problem or I would have remembered it. I have also bought a lot of fabric from ethelbird.com, and never had a problem with them. I like them because they have some different fabric you don't see a lot.

Ooooohhh - why did you have to show me this? I am on a resolve not to buy fabric for a whole month and here it is, only the fourth day, and already I feel myself weakening!!

Help someone - restrain me!!!!!!!

You'll enjoy the present arriving in the mail so much more if you have kept to your promise of not buying any fabric this month. :-)

Thanks Tricia, I really like those bright ones :-)

Thanks Cheryl. I think I need to buy some ;-)

Thanks Sherry. I guess I'm just ging to have to buy some. For some reason I am in a mood for really bright fabrics. I have rarely used such bright fabrics in the past, but after seeing those Linda Sullivan patterns, I just gotta have some!

Oops, sorry! You really don't want any of that yucky stuff. They are much too bright. You would need to wear sunglasses to be able to use it. The fabrics that you already have in your stash are better than anything that is currenly being sold anyway ;-)

I have some of the yellow honeycomb fabric that I used in my Scrappy September blocks. I feels really nice. So nice that I bought it even though I wasn't sure the honeycomb pattern would fit in with my other scrappy fabrics for that quilt.

I also bought some of the red dragonflies when they were on sale a couple of months ago. I'm using that in my dragonfly Do-It-Yourself Round-Robin UFO. And I'm using only "quality" fabrics in that one.

Can't say how either of them wash. They are NOT see-thru fabrics. The weave seems tight enough. They don't ravel at lot when I cut them.

I might have to hop right over to my local Ben Franklin and get some of those green dragonflies today. I owe myself a treat of some kind. (One of those rough weeks that deserves a reward at the end!) Our Ben Franklin stores in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area have wonderful quilt departments with only name-brand and LQS quality fabric.

Thanks for the link. I think I need to give in to some good temptation today!
