Baby Lock Quest Plus

Nov 15, 2008 13 Replies

I FINALLY had time to try out the 'new' machine that BL sent to replace the 1st quest I had. I must report that it's sewing and quilting beautifully. I did some free motion, feed dogs down, with my choice of threads, first and a nothing special needle - it worked flawlessly - no breaks, no loops, no skips. I'm thrilled. Today I've started piecing a Laurel Birch Christmas wall hanging and the regular, feed dogs up, stitching is also working very well. Thanks to all of you who have hung with me all year - I am satisfied with this machine.

YAY! Now we expect a monthly report for a while to amke sure it STILL is being good for you. I, for one, am pleased you stayed with it. And that they DID you right. So what exactly was the 'extra's that they sent?

Butterfly (I'll smile all day for you after what all you went thru.)

Three cheers, Musicmaker. Must be a wonderful feeling - after a whole year. Ugh! . In message , Musicmaker writes

I'm glad to hear they've done right by you and that you're happy with your machine! It sounds like you just plan got a lemon the first time around. Have fun stitchin'!

Way hay! AT LAST! And about time too...

Glad you finally had time to try out your "New" machine. Soooooooooo very glad it is working for you. BTW I even got my walking foot for the Juki I have waited a month and a half for :) Lyn

So glad you finally have a machine that performs well.

Why not write to BL again at some point to let them know, and to thank them...?

Good idea! I second that. . In message , IMS writes

That's wonderful to hear, I hear your relief, I know what it felt like when my lemon was replaced and then suddenly I could quilt again, you start doubting yourself and the relief that it really wasn't you is amazing!

Anne

Butterfly, there are no 'extras' as far as I've seen - just a machine that works right.

Lyn - I'm so glad you finally got you walking foot! Now to get that hip all healed up and moving well so you can sit at a sewing machine!

I had been waiting patiently to hear this report. I'm so happy for you. I was also very curious about the "Plus", but it seems that that didn't amount to much. I'm still loving my Quest and have found that using the Start/Stop button and Medium speed work great for stippling. The only reason I stop is to change the bobbim!!
